My husband Aaron and I are both from Wellington, New Zealand, but we’re currently re-locating to the UK!
By day I’m a professional web designer, focusing on user-centred design and web standard practices. Other than that I am interested in gardening, animals, art, crafts, knitting and the occasional sewing project. I do love to cook and bake, and all of my favourite recipes can be found here. Aaron’s interests in interior design and furniture design have also rubbed off onto me :o)
This website is my personal site. I have intentionally designed it to be different than my day to day clean corporate work, and therefore everything has been hand painted, drawn and cut out to keep that textural “real” feel, and only the final round of layout work and finishing was done on the computer. The design elements (leaves, clouds, starts, etc.) are all my favourite things to doodle and dwell on, but I also wanted to make them look cute.
You may think that the blog topics are pretty random – and in many ways they are. I wanted my blog to just be my personal journal, a reflection of me, rather than blogging around one certain topic.
Because this is my personal site, the portfolio features only my drawings and out of work pieces. If you want to see my corporate work, please just get in touch.
My dream is to one day own a small farmlet to grow our own veges and run our own chickens, sheep, etc. And I also really want my own puppy dog.
